My name is Fransiska Elvira. I come from Solo, a small town in Central Java, Indonesia. I love to cook Javanese food, since I come from Java, and my interest of doing culinary brings me to a dream that one day when I move to Sweden I want to have a webshop that sells Indonesian food and beverages. My biggest dream is having a warehouse with a good kitchen to support me to run my webshop and cook Indonesian food for my customers who want to taste and order original Javanese food.
The aims of having this webshop are to provide my own daily cooking needs, to help Indonesian people who live in Sweden or Europe to find Indonesian products and overcome the longing of their hometown, and at the same time to introduce Indonesian food and beverages to Swedes and European in general. This webshop can also introduce and promote Indonesian culture by selling handmade arts in the future. It is far from perfection but we always try to be better day by day.
We use “Kedhapi” as our webshop title which means “to taste” in Javanese with a hope that people would like to buy and taste our products. Our webshop uses a logo of rice plant which has a very important meaning in our lives. I, who come from Indonesia, eat rice everyday as my main meal. As in Indonesia, rice becomes the main meal in Asia. The rice plant itself has a deep meaning in Indonesian culture that is “We should be always humble and wise even if we have much money and prosperity, high education, excellent job, and etc. There are a lot of people out there who are less fortunate than us so we have to be thankful of what we have got and had. It is like the rice plant that it always bends down when it’s ready to be harvested”
